Home renovation: Head to Kirchberg this weekend if your building needs an energy efficiency retrofit.
Planning to refurbish a building? Then new rules mean it will have to be brought up to stricter modern energy efficiency standards. This weekend’s “myenergy days” fair features some 100 exhibitors who will be touting renovation products and services to help meet those requirements.
Organisers said the event will also host insulation demonstrations and experts will explain how to take advantage of government grants for efficiency projects, which can potentially add up to €40,000.
Myenergy is a not-for-profit group funded by the government that promotes energy savings and green power. It has organised the fair since 2011 and said around 3,000 visitors attended last year.
This year’s edition takes place at LuxExpo in Kirchberg on Friday 20 March from 2pm to 7pm, and Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March from 10am to 6pm. Entry is €3 for adults and free for under 18s.
