However, the country that ranked number 1 was Switzerland, another small economy that punches way above its weight.

The countries were ranked based on the replies of 21,000 people on the following criteria: adventure, citizenship, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, movers, openness to business, power and quality of life.  

Luxembourg’s top score was on openness to business (10/10).

As ever, it is important not to take such ranking too seriously but is fun sometimes to see how the rest of the world view the grand duchy.
