Luxembourg’s cultural scene, housing costs and traffic congestion contrast with the British capital, Bloomberg News reported on Sunday:

“While many find the Grand Duchy a multilingual paradise, would-be expats are being warned not to expect the cosmopolitan lifestyle they currently enjoy in London and that they should prepare to spend long hours on clogged roads.”

The article, “Why Bankers Fleeing Brexit May Find Luxembourg an Acquired Taste”, featured interviews with some established executives who offered mixed reviews.

Benoit Wtterwulghe, the CEO of a private bank, for example, said that he recently moved across the border to Belgium to afford a larger home for his family.

At the same, despite the tepid nightlight, Chris Edward, an insurance executive, said he is always happy to return to Luxembourg after business trips to London. Bloomberg quoted Edward as saying that he would “definitely not” not be happier living in the UK.
