Rugby Club Luxembourg hosts a “veterans game” the afternoon of Saturday 13 October, with the club expecting a big crowd and fun atmosphere.
RCL’s Paul Sweetnam writes:
“While the Luxembourg National team play away in Ukraine there is another international match, albeit much slower, taking place on Saturday at Stade Boy Konen in Cessange. A team of Luxembourg veterans host the Phoenix Thunderbirds at 16:30.
“Players in their 40s, 50s and even 60s will take part in this celebration of being old and foolish. Luxembourg’s record capped player Nigel Sharplin will feature in the back row while former Walferdange president Jonathan Prince captains the team.
“RCL U18s host Boitsfort at 15:00 as an amuse gueule to the main event. BBQ and bar and sunshine guaranteed.”
