Mars Di Bartolomeo, Luxembourg’s speaker of parliament, told the Iranian MPs that the grand duchy is “strongly” in favour of following the accord, according to an announcement on the chamber’s website.

The meeting took place at the Chamber of Deputies on 4 September. In addition to Di Bartolomeo, the Luxembourg MPs were: Marc Angel (LSAP), Eugène Berger (DP), Alex Bodry (LSAP), Gusty Graas (DP), Cecile Hemmen (LSAP) and Gilles Roth (CSV).

Donald Trump pulled the US out of the agreement--in which Tehran allowed international inspections of its nuclear sites in exchange for the easing of economic sanctions--in May. The other signatories--China, the EU, France, Germany, Russia and UK--have so far remained committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
