Luxair has reported a racist message posted on a notice board in the offices of Luxair Cargo to the police. RTL’s 5 minutes site broke the news on Wednesday after first being informed of the notice by a Luxair Cargo employee. The message, which attacked north African immigrants in France, was reported to management after being spotted by an employee on 18 January, the French-language news site reports.

Luxair Cargo management initially reacted by sending an internal message to all employees titled “Non au racism!”. Management said they hoped police would find the culprit and reminded employees that incitement to racist hate was a crime. The message also stated that LuxairCargo staff was comprised of employees from over 20 different nationalities who all worked in an atmosphere of “mutual respect”.

5 minutes cited Luxair’s corporate communications manager Joe Schroeder as saying that the incident was isolated and that there had been no evidence of racist behaviour at the company prior to the posting in January.
