The hotel said in a 18 December press release that it remodelled 110 out of its 345 guest rooms, as well as the panoramic conference rooms on the building’s top floor, and opened a new restaurant on its first floor.

Some of the refreshed rooms are designed for long stay guests, those either working in Luxembourg for an extended period of time or who are in the process of relocating to the country. These rooms include “a fully equipped kitchenette and living room”.

“We are proud of the renovations done to the Doubletree by Hilton hotel giving it back its former splendour whilst adding a refreshing touch alongside state-of-the-art equipment and technology,” said Janine Kemp, the hotel’s general manager, stated in the press announcement.

Renovation work started in summer 2017, a representative told Delano on Tuesday. The hotel rooms were completed in April 2018, while the new restaurant was finished at the beginning of December, he said.

The Doubletree by Hilton first opened in 1985; the hotel revamped 235 rooms in 2013. The press release said it is the country’s largest hotel by number of guest rooms.
