Global offshore law firm Harneys has announced that Luxembourg-based law firm M Partners has joined the Harneys group. Harneys chairman Peter Tarn said the venture supports the firm’s rapidly growing legal offering. “Luxembourg is the jurisdiction of choice for combining an offshore and onshore offering, satisfying an identified demand from existing and new clients,” Tarn said in a statement issued on 2 April.

Harneys says that M Partners has “strong cross border expertise, familiarity with the offshore environment, long standing client relationships and a common law approach.” Existing and future clients will, says Harneys, “benefit from a broad and comprehensive legal service offering, whilst receiving the same high quality advice in the areas of corporate, investment funds, regulatory and tax, and private wealth.

Andrew Knight, managing partner of Harneys Luxembourg said: “Harneys has a globally recognised high standard of excellence and we are proud to be expanding their legal service offering with our expertise and cross-border experience.”

Also joining Harneys are partners Vanessa MolloyCharl Brand and Chiara Deceglie, two senior associates and five associates.
