The Court of Appeals followed the advocate general’s demands on Wednesday 15 March during the so-called Luxleaks trials.

Antoine Deltour's sentence was reduced to 6 months probation and a fine of €1500; Raphaël Halet received a €1000 fine. PwC will be paid a symbolic €1 in compensation. The acquittal of French journalist Édouard Perrin was confirmed by the court of appeals.

Some people had gathered in support of the whistleblowers outside the Cité judiciaire (central court house) in Luxembourg City.
