Average temperatures at most weather stations were above those recorded between 2001 and 2010, the organisations said on Thursday. The biggest deviation was +0.9°C in Ettelbruck. On the other hand Oberkorn was -0.4°C colder than normal. Average temperatures at Findel were more or less average, however the airport monitoring station recorded the coldest absolute reading: -10.2°C on 29 December.
Measured total precipitation nationally was about 10% off the 2001-2010 average. The biggest increases in wet stuff was observed in Reuler (48% more than usual) and Echternach (+25%). However Findel (-15%) and Ettelbruck (-3%) saw less precipitation, the report stated.
