The central element of the application is an equality quiz which touches on key figures and dates in a range of fields, from health and education to the economy and sport.

Additionally, the app offers tips on what to do in a variety of cases, from issues related to contraception and domestic violence; it also has a listing of gender equality events, helpful links, news and more.

The app development was supported through the national women’s council of Luxembourg (CNFL) in collaboration with women in digital empowerment (WIDE). A design-a-thon was organised last October, where volunteers helped youngsters find a creative solution for sensitising others. A design week, led by designer Koen Cloostermans and WIDE, followed, and StartNCode, a team of 10 youngsters with digital training, later were charged with creating the first prototype of the digital app.

The app is available for download on Android or IOS.
