More than 550 people use currently these secure bike parking spaces, located next to train stations in several towns, including the capital. This gives riders the reassurance that their bikes are safe, and encourages people to leave their cars at home.

The first Mbox with MKaart access was installed in February 2017 in Ettelbruck; now there are 13. The number of users rises steadily.

The minister for sustainable development and infrastructure, François Bausch, has therefore announced that the CFL is about to finish installing more of these bike parking schemes in the following towns and villages: Pétange, Oberkorn, Bertrange, Lorentzweiler, Colmar-Berg and Troisvierges.

Further Mboxes are planned for Clervaux, Bascharage-Sanem, Cents, Sandweiler-Contern, Schifflange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Rodange, and Dippach-Reckange.
