TNS Ilres asked residents in Luxembourg which lead candidate they would vote for, and 42% said they would vote for current chancellor, the CDU’s Angela Merkel.

SPD lead candidate Martin Schulz would get a paltry 15% of the votes, followed by Die Linke’s Sahra Wagenknecht with 4%; her colleague Dietmar Bartsch would only get 1% of the votes.

The Green Party’s Cem Özdemir (3%) and Katrin Göring-Eckardt (1%) don’t fare better among Luxembourg residents.

As for the liberal FDP’s Christian Lindner, he would get 2%, and the nationalist conservative AfD’s Alice Weidel and her fellow lead candidate Alexander Gauland would each get 1% of the vote in Luxembourg.
