The old town with the cathedral and royal palace as seen from the City Skyliner

The 81-meter mobile observational tower located at Place de la Constitution is guaranteed to provide you with exceptional views of the Luxembourg Old Town, Petrusse Valley, and beyond.

Open every day from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and on Friday’s and Saturday’s until 11 p.m., the City Skyliner offers visitors a unique platform for viewing daytime skylines and evening sunsets. Benches line the inside of the viewing area, so that you can sit and relax while enjoying the landscapes and scenery below. For those who are seeking an adrenaline rush, standing by the railing and looking down at the 81-meter drop below is also an option.

The viewing space rotates as it goes up, slow enough to avoid feeling like you’re at an amusement park, but quick enough to enjoy 360° views of the city. Several rotations are made as you climb up, giving you a chance to fully take in the panoramic views.

As you are transported up, you will hear English commentary providing information about the tower and its surroundings. Whether you are a native or a newcomer, there is something new to be learned and new to be seen for everyone.

The City Skyliner tends to get crowded on weekend afternoons and evenings when the weather is nice, but with the journey up lasting just 7 minutes, and the observation area fitting up to 60 people, the lines disperse quickly and shouldn’t leave you waiting for too long. A Skyliner bar near the bottom of the tower is a nice addition to the attraction and gives guests the option of enjoying refreshments while waiting.

Whether you want to see Luxembourg from a new perspective, conquer your fear of heights or simply enjoy a drink at the Skyliner bar, this attraction is great opportunity for all. For the price of 7 euros for adults, and 4 euros for children, the view is well worth it.
