Petition 981 calls for flashing lights to be permitted on the vehicles of duty nurses and emergency services volunteers to ensure they can arrive at a scene in the shortest time possible.

Petition 966 asks for the list of four races to be removed in the dangerous dogs law so that the penalties can apply to owners of all dangerous dogs, regardless of race.

Petition 976 calls for the reimbursement of treatments for sexual impotence while petition 977 requests final classes of vocational training be restructured.

The four new petitions, which will be open until 8 May, join a handful of other petitions calling for free public transport for everyone (970), for all public toilets to be adapted for people wearing nappies (964), the abolition of daylight saving time (967) and a ban on all free pornographic websites (974), among others.

All open petitions can be signed by anyone aged 15 and over who has a Luxembourg social security number. If a petition garners 4,500 signatures or more, a public debate will be organised on the topic by parliament. Since the creation of the public petition tool in March 2014, some 26 petitions have reached the threshold for a public debate.
