The annual Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg award is now in its 13th year. It is presented by Junior Chamber International Luxembourg, with the winner selected by an independent jury.

Bontinckx, who studied architecture, was rewarded for his work on launching the Ziggu platform for real estate developers and their clients. The company offer solutions that include streamlining work flow via an online platform that allows developers to exchange the documentation with clients and keep them updated on progress of a construction project in real time. It can also incorporate cameras designed specifically for the monitoring a building site that provide live retransmission via a secure platform.

The 31-year old, originally from Ghent in Belgium, won ahead of two other finalists--Patrick Malget from online tax declaration service Taxx.lu placed second and Fox Drinks founders Pierre Beck and Catherine Hoffmann were third. The final three had been selected by a jury from a short-list of 10, which had been whittled down from some 28 submissions.

Fashion designer Flavia Carbonetti, who launched her unisex Einfühlung brand in 2018, won a special “coup de cœur” jury choice mention.
