The “Mam Vëlo op d’Schaff oder an d’Schoul” (MVOS), roughly translated as “take your bike to work or school”, is a campaign run by the national transport authority Verkéiersverbond, to promote a more sustainable means of transport.

How it works

Teams of 2-4 people can sign up to bike into work or school on 15 days minimum during the competition period, which runs from 15 May-31 July.

Team members are not required to be a part of the same company or school, but they should be ready to log their cycled kilometres and share them on social media with the hashtag #mvos2019. By doing so, they are entered to win a number of prizes, including a trip for two to Burgundy, France; a trip for four to Düsseldorf, Germany; a Luxembourg cycling trip for four; a range of bicycles; plus a variety of shopping vouchers for everything from health food to travel. The total value of prizes is €16,000.
