- The CEO of East-West United Bank, Sergey Pchelintsev, spoke with Paperjam about its new digital banking platform and its private banking services for Russian speakers. The bank employs 80 staff in Luxembourg.
- Banque internationale à Luxembourg and KBL are not suffering any consequences from the economic and political blockade of Qatar, according to Albert Wildgen, a member of Bil’s board of directors. Both banks are majority owned by a Qatari royal family investment vehicle.

- The bankers trade group ABBL and unions representing bank staff have reached, after weeks of heated talks, an agreement on contractually required bonuses. Employees will receive their traditional “June bonus”, which is partly based on seniority. All staff will also receive a standard bonus, which is €400 for a full-time position.
- François Bausch, Luxembourg’s infrastructure minister, raised the coming German motorway toll scheme during a meeting of European transport ministers. He wants an overall EU scheme to get into gear, and complained that the European Commission is now idling on the matter.
