In May 2016, Ryanair started with two destinations: London Stansted and Porto. Later, Madrid, Bergamo, Lisbon, Milan and Barcelona were added.
Yann Delomez, sales & marketing manager for Benelux at Ryanair, said that “we are today the second airline company in Luxembourg and the only low-cost company which flies to/from Luxembourg.”
This year, Ryanair counted 450,000 passengers to and from Luxembour--up from 200,000 in the first year.
Luxair is still the biggest airline, with 1,725,226 passengers in 2016.
