Christine Probst-Staffen has tons of experience as an actress and director

Director Christine Probst-Staffen has put out a call for auditions for Jean Lenox Toddie’s play And Go to Innisfree, which will be performed by NWTC at a competitive theatre festival in Frankfurt in early June. The play features three female actors who play the same character, Anna, at different ages--over 60+, between 35 and 45 and the younger version aged 18 to 25.

The older Anna is on a deserted New England beach, where she has come to make a decision. She listens to counsel from her middle aged self, who argues her case for the comfort of a retirement home, while the younger girl urges her to sit again and eat blue berries and study ants.

Despite the setting, American accents are not necessary. However, interested actresses will be given a piece from the text to prepare.  Auditions are scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday, 6 and 7 February from 9:30-12 noon at Vedanza Dance Studio on rue Louvigny in the city centre. Rehearsals will also take place during the day.

The play will be performed in Luxembourg at the end of May before the cast and crew head to Frankfurt for the FEATS festival from 2 to 5 June.

Eager actresses should contact Christine Probst  by email at [email protected] to reserve an audition slot.
