He will temporarily replace CEO Johan Vanneste, who announced his departure on Monday.

Reporting on Tuesday night, RTL said that the appointment of a temporary successor would allow Lux-Airport to ensure its current operations with limited disruption. Luxembourg transport minister François Bausch confirmed the news to our colleagues at Paperjam.lu during the state visit to France.

The board of directors of the company must still meet within the week to validate the appointment.

The departure of Johan Vanneste to head up the Köln/Bonn airport, which was announced on Monday, took many people by surprise. In office since 2014, Vanneste told Paperjam.lu he had “seized a rare professional opportunity” and made his decision only after “giving it a lot of thought.”
