After five days of intense competitive cooking, Expogast 2018 culminated in the awards ceremony of the Villeroy&Boch Culinary World Cup on Thursday. 45,000 visitors attended the 5-day international gastronomy event. They included Grand Duke Henri, who presented the awards on Thursday evening.

Sweden’s national team won gold, closely followed by Norway and Singapore, honoured with silver and bronze medals respectively. The Swedes gave their supporters even more reason to celebrate when their regional and “Community Catering” teams were also awarded gold medals.

Austria’s young cooks were the proud champions among the junior teams, trailed by upcoming talents from Switzerland and Norway. Luxembourg’s junior and national teams managed to convince the jury in a number of subcategories in which their creations were decorated with silver and bronze medals.
