US military veterans and young people being treated for cancer benefitted from a special ice hockey match hosted in Luxembourg on Saturday.
The Tornado Luxembourg vs Spangdahlem Air Base charity game saw the bleachers at the Kockelscheuer ice rink full to brimming as spectators of all nationalities gathered for the big game.
It was Tornado Luxembourg who dominated, however, keeping most of the possession and maximizing most of their chances. But Spangdahlem didn't give up without a fight and scored two goals of their own, to leave the final score 6-2 to the home side. Proceeds from the event went to Kriibskrank Kanner, a children’s cancer charity in Luxembourg, and Warrior Hockey, a discipline dedicated to injured and disabled US military veterans.
Catch Tornado Luxembourg at their next home game on 25 November against Gothiques Amiens II.
