Four young women in Luxembourg were awarded for their public service with €500 from the Luxembourg Zonta clubs.
Sarah Faber (Lycée Aline Mayrisch Luxembourg), Leshwangé-Mokita Marie-Brufina (Ecole Privée Sainte-Anne), Claire Remmy (Athénée de Luxembourg) and Serena Boukelmoun (Athénée de Luxembourg) were awarded the Young Women in Public Affairs prize at the end of April.
The four were recognised for their engagement in social and political causes. Each year, Luxembourg Zonta clubs offer the prize to four women. The candidates are evaluated based on their volunteer experience, the sense of responsibility and altruism demonstrated as well as their engagement in advancing the status of women at local or international level.
Among previous laureates are Jessie Thill, who was elected onto the Walferdange commune council in 2017.
