Among the speakers were Tine A Larsen, of Luxembourg data protection agency the CNPD and Rana Hein-Hartmann of financial sector specialist recruitment firm Funds Partnership.
Among other things, the live interview touched on the impact of the abuse of data on Facebook users by Cambridge Analytica, and how that has been a game changer in forcing people to reflect on how their data is protected.
The pair gave advice to companies on what steps to take to ensure their firms are GDPR ready. They also reminded attendees that accountability included insuring supply chains were GDPR compliant.
The event was hosted at the Big Beer Company in Rives de Clausen with the support of ING and live music from Pro Musik. Delano Live takes place prior to the publication of each new magazine edition. The next event is scheduled for 7 June.
