The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join the management team of a well known, international Trust Company as a Commercial Director. Acting as an expert of the local market, you will be able to take initiative and responsibility for business development, turning challenging situations into commercial opportunities.
This job is for someone who has the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with high profile internationals, in order to rapidly build credibility and gain trust.

The Responsibilities

You define and execute the commercial plan of the office in cooperation with MD and Head of Sales and you identify new business opportunities. With a strong focus on business development, you create and sustain relationships with intermediaries and clients and at times you act as personal director in client companies. In order to ensure increased sales and cross selling on existing and new clients/business partners you work closely with the Head of Sales. You must be fully aware of client companies under your direct and indirect control. You will be a part of the management team of the Luxembourg office.

The duties will include and not be limited to:

• Expand client portfolio according to the budget with a focus on new clients
• Expand intermediary network.
• In co-operation with the Head of Sales, facilitate and coordinate all customer communications.
• Explore products and present them effectively to create commercial opportunities.
• Manage complex and high value transaction opportunities.
• Ensure the quality of client files together with client teams.
• Ensure that there is clear and frequent communication with key decision makers in the field and with strategic partners/organisations.
• Collaborate with the local team directors, team members and support the teams
• Manage and support the sales team with coaching, feedback, joint visits etc.

The Competencies

• You are a lawyer with substantial (minimum 5 years) experience in Luxembourg
• You gained expertise in M&A and/or Banking Finance or have worked for a competing reputable corporate services provider
• You possess commercial and managing capabilities
• Excellent understanding of corporate services transactions and understanding of risks involved is key.
• A network relevant to Corporate Services practices is, given the nature of the responsibilities, a necessity.

• Strong focus on providing solutions, constructive solving problem approach
• Strong creative and innovative skills
