The third Bicycle Art & Film Night features four shorts and plenty of bike culture.
A real treat for “wheel fetishists” and “bicycle culture enthusiasts”, the third Bicycle Art & Film Night features four short films and the awarding of prizes in the Cycling in a City Jungle photo contest.
Created four years ago, BAFF is designed to be an inspirational platform for all bicycle users and supporters. It aims to foster cycling culture in Luxembourg as well as spread enthusiasm for cycling through bicycle-related films and various forms of art.
The films range from the downright whacky--Michael & Kate Garret’s 7-minute opus about Cave Unicycling--to the heroic--local director Michael Tereba’s tribute to Luxembourg cyclist Elsy Jacobs, who in 1958 became the first ever female road cycling world champion and also set a world record for one hour on the track that lasted for 14 years.
Also on the bill are Mianzi Rei-My Legs My Gears, a portrait of a Berlin icon fixie rider, road racer, tattoo model and vegan, and Island Of Thorns about three friends who set out to cross Corsica by bike.
