After the success of “Greyhounds” earlier this year, Actors Repertory Theatre Luxembourg presents its second Café Theatre Production.
Actors Repertory Theatre’s café theatre production for the autumn is “Flowers in the Desert” by award-winning playwright Donna Hoke.
Timothy Lone directs, with assistance from Rhona Richards, and Christine Probst and Erik Abbott star as Britt and Joe, a couple who split two years prior to the action of the play after 14 years of marriage. Now Britt is dating a professor and Joe has got the number of every waitress in town. “Why would Britt suddenly decide she wants to try again? Well, there are the kids to consider and of course ‘the boss’ is on their side. But Britt has some rules and this time love has an agenda...”
The Buffalo News said of the play: “dialogue flows naturally, real people saying real things... The story has verve, it lives and breathes.”
The show starts at 7.30 p.m.--apart from a 6 p.m. show on Sundays 4 and 11 October--and bookings are now being taken via the Actors Rep website or by e-mail: [email protected], or phone: 35 63 39.
Dinner is available after the show from Nature Elements (reservations recommended and additional costs apply), with drinks available both before and after.
