Kick Cancer Into Touch hosts its annual charity touch rugby tournament this Saturday, with proceeds going to the local Omega 90 hospice.
Founded more than a decade ago, Kick Cancer Into Touch hosts regular sports events including a golf tournament and its annual flagship touch rugby tournament.
Touch rugby is a six-a-side non-contact form of rugby played on a half sized pitch with diverse teams. Saturday’s tournament open to teams of players of all abilities, sex, and age.
Teams can register via [email protected] or sign up via the Kick Cancer Into Touch Facebook page. Individuals can also turn up and join an open team for those new to the game.
The event, at the home of touch rugby in Weimerskirch, features an all day bar and BBQ, plus bouncy castle and face painting for kids.
Those who want to contribute but feel unable to play can join in the effort by making a salad, baking a cake or volunteering to serve at the bar.
