Ten things to do

Art visits Sunday 28 September

Private Art Kirchberg

Visitors to the Kirchberg this Sunday will get a chance to sneak a peek at private art collections at more than 10 companies and institutions based on the plateau.

Private Art Kirchberg

Launched by Clearstream and the Deutsche Börse Group, Private Art Kirchberg is a fabulous chance to see art collections that are not usually open to the public.

More and more companies are investing in private art collections for a number of different reasons. Some, such as Kneip founder and CEO Bob Kneip, simply love art and like to share their works with employees and guests. Others see art as an investment or as a means of fostering a certain corporate culture. Some view art collections as a commitment to the company’s location

Whatever the reason, Private Art Kirchberg, held every two years, allows visitors to not only view rarely seen art collections, but also to get a glimpse at the architecture or gardens of the participating companies and institutions.

Many companies hold guided tours throughout the event in both English and French (and some in German), while some have put on special shows for the occasion.

In addition, Deutsche Bank is offering a shuttle-bus-service to the brand new Luxembourg Freeport for guided tours with a maximum of 25 persons. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 12.30 to 6 p.m. and departs from the main entrance of Deutsche Bank. Participants are required to show ID to access the Freeport.
