Luxembourg has issued short-time working financial aid (furlough) to 140 employers whose operations were impacted by flooding from 14–15 July.

The floods, which saw over 42% of the month’s entire precipitation fall in the space of 24 hours, were declared a natural disaster by the government.

Employers may still apply for aid for “force majeure for flooding” for August and September up until 20 August 2021 through guichet.lu.
