Following of the famous Le Strogoff restaurant in October, the space overlooking the Place de Paris will again be open for hungry customers: a new restaurant has moved in and will open its doors on 13 December, according to a post on Facebook. Called Stazione, the eatery is the brainchild of Lolita Ancion and Jérémy Pastre. Pastre is already active in the restaurant business in Luxembourg, having been an operations director at Maison Mazelier, the group to which the former Strogoff belonged.
Both are listed as the managers of Lomy Lux, which operates under the trade name “Stazione.” The company was incorporated on 16 November and officially registered with the Luxembourg Business Registers on 24 November.
The menu is very similar to the old Strogoff menu, with an Italian flavour and cheese and charcuterie boards to share. There’s also a selection of starters, tartars, fish and meat dishes. Pastas and risottos and some 15 pizzas complete the menu, which has already been published on the new restaurant’s website.
As a reminder, Strogoff closed its doors due to “a succession of setbacks between the health crisis and the tram works, which made life difficult for its establishment located in the Gare district,” according to the former manager of the Mazelier company, Richard Mazelier, who ran the place.
The managers of the new restaurant have been contacted for comment but, at the time of publication, have not responded.
