Looking through the eye piece of a kaleidoscope, you can see fairy-tale images and, by turning the gear just a few degrees, new, lively and dynamic shapes are created, shapes that have always conquered young and old.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia represents precisely this, the possibility of rotating a few degrees and discovering incredible places and stories that unfold between the sea and the mountains and tell, at the same time, of hills, lagoons and valleys. In an hour or so by car, you will cross cities that are very important for their historical and cultural aspects, you can take a dip in the Adriatic sea and you can visit the huts located in the Friulian Dolomites or enter the forest of Tarvisio.

With an extension of over 7800 square km, the region represents the gateway to Italy from both the Adriatic Sea, Slovenia and Austria and it is precisely the borders that have defined it in its inherent and multifaceted characteristics. Languages, dialects, traditions traced in a collage made up of diversity such that the region is defined as "one of the most mysterious in Italy, a land to be discovered" according to the Lonely Planet.

For sea lovers, the regional shoreline offers a unique coast that in 130 kilometers manages to concentrate different landscapes between sandy beaches or reefs and cliffs that lead directly to the Karst scenery.

Among the options, Grado certainly represents a unique choice of its kind, already a destination for vacationers and bathers in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. 130 years have passed since Franz Joseph, the Emperor of Austria-Hungary decreed a Law that identified Grado as a reference seaside resort for Central Europe. On the occasion of this anniversary, , an events calendar has been drawn up for the whole summer, until this autumn, available on the website. A few kilometers from Grado is Aquileia, a UNESCO city that can be reached by bike, crossing the scenic bridge over the lagoon and continuing through the countryside.

By choosing Friuli Venezia Giulia for sports holidays, there are two most famous routes that cross the territory: Alpe Adria and Adria Bike. The first connects the Alps to the lagoon and offers the opportunity to discover exceptional biodiversity, giving depth of views and scents that define the territory well. The second presents an itinerary along the coast with the possibility of covering some sections by sailing on boats equipped for transporting bikes.

An hour's drive from the lagoon, the summits of the Dolomites with their grandeur offer - as in that kaleidoscope, an astonishing phenomenon of lights and shapes reflecting spectacular Dolomite peaks, alpine and pre-alpine rocks, massifs and Carnic meadows, woods and valleys of the Torre and Natisone and the Karst cliffs are just a few examples.

The Montagna 365 project brings together in a single portal all the experiences that can be programmed, every day of the year in the heights of this region where the view borders not only literally but also metaphorically thanks to the offer dedicated to relaxation and well-being.

The image that would be seen in this mountain kaleidoscope could represent a bath in the millenary forest, a day of Yoga in the woods, a sensory excursion to discover flowers or a gift to yourself in a thermal structure to reunite with the right energy.
