In 2024, the foundation of the group, Elisabeth Stëftung, implemented 21 initiatives with the invaluable support of over 1,200 private donors. These projects, focusing on children, young people, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly, underscore the foundation’s dedication to improving the well-being of vulnerable people across Luxembourg.
From educational support for children in difficulty, to animal-assisted therapy, via the installation of vegetable gardens adapted for the elderly or the creation of inclusive workplaces for people with disabilities, each project embodies Elisabeth’s founding values: respect, integrity, solidarity and responsibility.
The year was also marked by an important transition within the board of directors. After almost 40 years of commitment, Rhett Sinner, founding chairman of the Stëftung, handed over to Paul Prussen, who intends to continue this humanist mission with the same passion.
The Elisabeth Foundation is not resting on its laurels: €281,500 worth of projects are already being funded for 2025. These include the Natur on Tour initiative, which aims to reconnect children with nature through itinerant educational activities, and the development of a solidarity shop within a structure for senior citizens, promoting independence and social links.
“Your donations have a real and measurable impact on the lives of those we support. They make it possible to carry out projects that are not covered by public funding,” emphasises Paul Prussen, chairman of the foundation.
As a recognised charitable foundation, Elisabeth Stëftung guarantees the transparency and proper use of the funds received. All donations are tax-deductible, and the accounts are audited every year.
