"This branch represents a vision of a public service that is closer, more welcoming and more modern. These new premises have been designed to respond effectively to the expectations of jobseekers and our 18 Adem staff, who provide support to almost 3,000 people", the labour minister, (CSV), said on Friday. The Differdange branch is the link in Adem's network of six regional offices throughout the country, and its role is to welcome jobseekers aged over 30 and give them access to the full range of services on offer.
On 19 November, the tax office moved into the Aurea tower in the centre of Differdange. At present, nine agents working under the local tax office manager, Alain Moos, are at the service of the municipality's taxpayers.
"The aim of the Luxembourg Inland Revenue is to offer taxpayers a high-quality service,” stated the finance minister (CSV). “To achieve this, we provide them with a reception area that is both pleasant and functional. We also ensure that our staff enjoy a working environment that is conducive to their wellbeing and efficiency. In this way, we will be even closer to the public, which is a win-win situation for everyone.”
On the ground floor, there is a reception area and two lounges reserved for taxpayers. This area is separate from the back office, which has enough workstations to accommodate future staff growth. The building's architects took an innovative approach to design, using a ‘box in the box’ concept of nested boxes that optimise space, modularity and light to create a unique and functional environment. The metal used evokes the steel past of the town of Differdange, and the soundproofing is provided by decorative plant walls.
In the press release, the ACD points out that, since November, it has launched a new contact centre dedicated to processing multilingual contact forms, enabling all taxpayers to benefit from faster handling and optimised follow-up of their requests. These forms and answers to the most frequently asked questions are available on the acd.lu website.
