They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg's #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who are the new face of the country. In this instalment: Alexandra Kahn, director of the Genaveh chocolate factory.

After studying management and finance, which led her to work in Hong Kong, , 33, returned to Europe. "I wanted to be an entrepreneur and I've always had a passion for pastries. One day, my father who works in Luxembourg [editor's note: Daniel Kahn] heard that the Genaveh chocolate factory was up for sale, and at the end of 2017 I bought it. What's funny, for the record, is that it was my grandfather who imported the Leonidas brand to Luxembourg at the time!"

Since taking over the chocolate factory, the young Frenchwoman has increased the workforce from five to twenty, and now has around thirty retailers in the Greater Region, the Paris region (at Le Bon Marché in Paris, among others), and internationally. "And we've kept the know-how and the workshop in Steinfort, which we've extended. The aim is to keep things artisanal, with products that are as fair-trade and healthy as possible."
