After almost three years as economic advisor to prime minister Xavier Bettel, Anouk Agnes has decided to return to finance as a company director.

is leaving the Hôtel de Bourgogne for the financial centre: the Luxembourger has decided to become an independent board director, focused on the financial sector.

“I am a real fan of the financial centre, of what has been achieved there, of the positioning of funds and I would like to get involved in green finance issues which have been close to my heart for more than fifteen years now”, she said.

Her position as economic advisor to PM  (DP) will be taken over on Monday by Frank Genot, who was previously press attaché to the head of government. She will help with the transition until mid-May.

“Corporate governance has become more professional in recent years and I believe that this is the right time to meet the demand for independent directors in the marketplace,” stated Agnes.

With a master’s degree in law and a master of science from the London School of Economics, she has 24 years of professional experience behind her, including seven years spent at the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry as deputy managing director.
