The 2022 Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) awards ceremony, the culmination of the 16th edition of the competition, was held at the Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 1 December. High profile guests, including prime minister (DP), who gave a keynote address, attended the gala event. CYEL is a competition organised by the Junior Chamber International Luxembourg and is open to young entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 40, who work within or own a company established in Luxembourg.
Alex Pospekhov was awarded second prize for his Mission Space enterprise that is looking to provide a satellite-based space weather forecast to solve the lack of warning tools in space, while third place went to Maciej Waloszyk from Cascade, a Fintech/Regtech firm that provides an administrative, compliance and governance solution to SMEs allowing for digitisation of customer-related data and autonomous treatment of day-to-day activities.
In addition to the main prizes, the jury awarded two Coup de Coeur. The first went to Mission Space, which means MeluXina will provide them with a tailored HPC journey to make the most of their solution.
The Coup de Coeur: The Rookie was awarded to Lyazid Benyahya from Veezzy, a young startup that aims to make video content creation more accessible to small business owners.
