Financial services provider Apex Group is acquiring the fund marketer Alfi Partners, the group announced on 17 January. Alfi Partners will become part of FundRock, an Apex Group management company and alternative investment fund manager in Luxembourg.

Alfi Partners will boost FundRock’s presence, sales resources, and distribution capabilities throughout Europe, said Apex, while clients of Alfi Partners will be able to take advantage of Apex’s global perspective and a wide range of services provided by a single entity.

“We are excited to be joining Apex Group, whose existing distribution capabilities will enhance our cross-jurisdictional reach and strengthen our ability to offer clients a substantial, well-capitalised solution underpinned by decades of experience,” said founding partner of Alfi Partners François Defferriere.

“This acquisition signals our continued commitment to help managers tackle the increasingly complex regulatory requirements of cross-border fund distribution and support their asset raising activities,” said founder and CEO of Apex Group Peter Hughes.
