Law firm Ogier announced on 6 February that Aurélie Clementz has joined their partnership and will lead the firm’s tax team in Luxembourg. Clementz has experience in international transactions and tax structuring for investment funds, multinational groups and private equity sponsors.

 joined Ogier’s tax team as a partner, the firm said. Her expertise includes international transactions and tax structuring, as well as tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and joint ventures vehicles.

“As tax legislation and practice becomes increasingly complex, the ability to provide clients with commercial, concise and efficient tax advice has never been more important,” said Luxembourg practice partner Bertrand Géradin. “We are very excited to have Aurélie join the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience that will further enhance our capability to provide high quality, innovative tax solutions to support our clients’ business needs.”

Clementz worked as a tax lawyer at Ashurst and at Hogan Lovells in Paris before joining Linklaters in 2006. With Linklaters, she worked in Paris, Luxembourg and Beirut. Clementz is a member of tax-related working groups of the Luxembourg fund industry association Alfi and has been admitted as a lawyer in France and Luxembourg.
