AXA joins the list of companies appreciating their employees for their work during the crisis with special benefits. Its 300 Luxembourg employees will be entitled to two extra days off.

Two extra days to take a break. This is what the French insurance group is offering to its 153,000 employees worldwide. And this also concerns the 300 employees in the grand duchy, a company spokeswoman confirms. An internal communication has been sent to them. The two days will have to be taken by the end of the first quarter of 2022.

The announcement was made by the group during its "Healthy You" event. In addition to thanking its teams for their work during the pandemic, the group also wants to enable them to "take care of their mental and physical health after a long period in exceptional circumstances,” it said in a press release. This is part of a comprehensive health and wellness programme, through which the group also offers free health checks and psychological support.

The company is not the first to announce these kinds of benefits following the pandemic. In Belgium and Luxembourg, Sofina was even more generous with its 40 extra days of holiday. Globally, Linkedin and Nike had made similar announcements. Bonuses were also given to cashiers, on the front line, notably at Cactus.
