Norbert Becker has been named an independent director to Edmond de Rothschild Europe’s board, announced the firm in a press release on 20 July.

“We are pleased to welcome to the Board of Directors of Edmond de Rothschild Europe. As a key figure in the Luxembourg financial centre, his experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial market are a real asset for our firm,” said Ariane de Rothschild in a press release published on Thursday evening.

“I thank the Edmond de Rothschild Group for its confidence and am delighted to join a bank firmly rooted in its family values, embodying both excellence and deep convictions,” said Becker, who replaces François Pauly. He’ll work alongside Benoît Dumont (chair), Vincent Taupin (vice chair), Bernard Herman, Philippe Masset, Sabine Rabald and Cynthia Tobiano.

Chairman of the Administration des biens du Grand-Duc (administration of the grand duke’s property), Nobert Becker is a director or chairman of numerous companies. Most recently, he was appointed head of The Bank of London Europe.
