Maison Moderne, publisher of Paperjam and Delano, announces the arrival of Bérengère Beffort as Director of its Publishing House department. She will take up her position on 1 December.

"I am delighted to be joining Maison Moderne to take charge of the editorial and economic development of this ambitious publishing company. Good information means offering the right content at the right time. It means being present with media that respond to readers' lifestyles. In my opinion, it means committing to a readership that is evolving and open to the world. I would like to take up this challenge with the Maison Moderne teams. Together, we will extend and strengthen the relationship of trust with the public around common aspirations for quality journalism," says Bérengère Beffort, 38, who will be the new director of the company's Publishing House department from 1 December.

A graduate from the Centre Universitaire d'Enseignement du Journalisme in Strasbourg, Bérengère, who is Franco-Luxembourg, had a successful career in the political department of Wort (for 11 years) and then RTL, before joining the Ministry for Equality between Women and Men as a deputy government adviser.

"Bérengère understands the challenges of Luxembourg and knows the political and economic players. Entrusting the management of our press activities to a political journalist reflects our ambitions for our two brands Paperjam and Delano,” explains , founder and chairman of Maison Moderne, who has also been acting as interim editorial director of the Publishing House since the summer of 2020. Throughout 2022, he will remain at Bérengère Beffort's side to "make a successful transition in taking over many dossiers,” before stepping down in early 2023 at the latest in a non-operational capacity as chairman of the board.

Maison Moderne is organised into three departments: Publishing House (the press activity around the Delano and Paperjam brands), Business Club (Luxembourg's leading business club) and Brand Studio (merger of the advertising sales company and the content agency). Bérengère Beffort will therefore also join the company's executive committee alongside Geraldine Knudson (CEO), Etienne Velasti (CFO), Viktor Dick (CDO), Youcef Damardji (Director of Brand Studio), Artur Sosna (Director of Paperjam + Delano Business Club) and Francis Gasparotto (strategic business development advisor).

"The news industry is facing many challenges, such as the transformation of business models, digitalisation and fake news, and we trust Bérengère to turn them into opportunities," concludes Mike Koedinger.
