The House of Startups (Host) is entering a new phase under the chairmanship of Bob Greiveldinger. This change marks the end of the mandate of , who played a crucial role during his five years as chairman.
In a issued on 22 July, Greiveldinger commented: “It is now widely recognised that the startup community makes an extraordinary contribution in terms of dynamism and technological innovation, and is therefore a key pillar of our economy. Having closely followed the impressive development of the House of Startups as a member of its board of directors since its inception, I am honoured to accept the presidency and to continue to lead our efforts to federate quality interactions between startups and all stakeholders, with the ambition of fully exploiting their potential and creating a real leverage effect beneficial to the evolution of our society.”
Thill added, “Since its launch in June 2018, the House of Startups has experienced remarkable growth and has been a driving force in the development of the startup ecosystem in Luxembourg. I wish the Host every success under the presidency of Bob Greiveldinger and would like to thank the teams for their unwavering commitment.”
Alongside Greiveldinger, the newly named chairman, the board now comprises Thelen, Nathalie Massonet, Philippe Linster, , , and . The Chamber of Commerce, Host’s sole shareholder, is delighted with this diversity, which promises an innovative approach tailored to the needs of start-ups. Thill, , and are stepping down from their positions.
As an innovation campus, the Host is home to a dynamic community of four incubators and accelerators, representing around 175 start-ups. In 2023, the Host employed 9 people and made a loss of €1.9m.
