Luxembourg life insurance company Onelife has appointed Bruno Valersteinas CEO and authorised manager, effective since 1 August 2023.

After Onelife CEO Antonio Corpas passed away in January 2023, Elio Fratini served as the company’s dirigeant agréé (authorised manager) and CEO ad interim. In June 2023, Cédric Lootvoet was named authorised manager of OneLife, holding the position of CEO ad interim in addition to his duties as CFO.

Now, Bruno Valersteinas is taking over the position of CEO and authorised manager at Onelife, the company announced on 5 September.

Valersteinas has over 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sector. He previously worked with the French treasury, at BNP Paribas Cardif and as CEO of Cardif AEP (insurance, savings and pensions), as well as deputy general manager of La France Mutualiste, a French insurance company. Valersteinas’ appointment was approved by Luxembourg’s insurance commission, the Commissariat aux Assurances, noted a press release published by Onelife.

“Bruno’s experience in the insurance sector, his grasp of cross-functional issues and his analytical spirit will be fundamental assets during deployment of the strategic plan of the group, established to position Onelife as the provider of choice in the development of bespoke wealth management solutions throughout Europe,” said Eric Rosenthal, directeur général adjoint of Groupe Apicil, in charge of the financial services and savings business line.

With €9bn in assets under management, Onelife is a member of the Groupe Apicil, a social protection group in France. The company saw a net profit of €16.9m in 2022, an increase of 20% compared to the previous year.
