At the end of September, Luxembourg City will welcome the Kujten cashmere shop.

Luxembourg represents the fourth market for the cashmere clothing and accessories brand. The shop will be located on Rue Phillipe II near where it meets Avenue Monterey (just opposite the Gucci store).

“This shows the dynamism of the Ville Haute: the arrival of new retailers opening a single outlet in Luxembourg, in the city centre,” said Marine Fetique, senior consultant at Cushman & Wakefield, the agent in charge of the transaction.

This autumn, other new brands with a single point of sale in the grand duchy are expected to open in the capital: sneaker shop Sidestep and the Scandinavian design furniture shop , both on the Grand-Rue.

Kujten will occupy a 50m2 ground-floor space previously occupied by Brioche Dorée.

26th outlet coming soon

Founded in 2012 in Paris, Kujten produces cashmere clothing and accessories from Mongolia. Its name is that of the country’s highest peak, according to its website. The brand intends to distinguish itself on the market with pieces in bold colours.

Kujten will be next door to another big name in cashmere: Eric Bompard. "It’s a competitor, but not in the same position," Fetique said of the newcomer, who is banking on trendy pieces where the other brand is playing the timeless and classic card.

Kujten currently has 25 outlets in France, Belgium and the UK. The closest shop to the grand duchy is currently located in the Muse shopping centre in Metz.
