Energy company Creos has terminated the mandate of its CEO Marc Reiffers, for "acts undermining the code of conduct and the system of internal controls". Mario Grotz, until then chairman of the board, will manage the company with the current management team.

Four years after being appointed CEO of Creos to replace , who left to head Encevo, was dismissed this summer. This decision fell after the board of directors was informed at the end of July that the company's code of conduct and internal control system had been breached.

"In order to guarantee the responsible and serene continuity of the company's activities, the Creos board of directors decided at its meeting of 29 September to entrust the responsibility for day-to-day management solely to the chairman of the board of directors, who will be supported by the management team in place," the energy company acknowledged when asked about the decisions taken in the wake of these revelations.

It is therefore , the first government advisor at the economy minister, who finds himself at the helm of this ship in the storm of the energy crisis.

Reiffers was also a member of the executive committee of Encevo since 1 August 2015. He may also have been asked to hand over this mandate. Delano’s sister publication Paperjam has reached out to the committee’s communications team for confirmation but has not received an answer at the time of publication.

According to the public prosecutor's office, no complaint has been lodged by Creos or Encevo regarding the acts that Reiffers is accused of.
