The annual Kick Cancer Into Touch (KCIT) charity golf day successfully raised over €5,000 for Omega 90 on Saturday 22 June. Held at the Kikuoka golf course, the event drew approximately 120 participants ranging from 8 to 78 years old. The overall champion of the day, Patrick van Eyll, earned the Des McKenna trophy with 39 points. Other notable mentions include junior champion Jessie Hancock, and men’s players Georges Bast, Peter Baxter and Francesco Moglia. In the women’s category, Felicia Soltani, Elaine Herneman and Laura Blomqvist were recognised, with Blomqvist also winning nearest the pin and longest drive contests. Robert Steele claimed the longest drive for men, and Stephan Gross was nearest the pin.
At the 19th hole, the Nordhal family greeted golfers with refreshments, leading into the putting competition managed by Mark and Gregor Hughes. Merve Herneman won the adult putting title, while in the junior competition, Lea took first place, followed by Molly and Sophia.

The event concluded with Dave Winters announcing the tombola and golf winners. It was supported by numerous contributions from individuals and organisations, with the Italian Golf Society making a significant donation of €1,300.
