The “Association des compagnies d'assurances et de réassurances” (Aca) elected Marc Lauer as president at its board meeting on 16 June, after Christian Gibot resigned from the post after just three months.

Less than three months after his election as Aca president, , CEO of Cardif Lux Vie, is stepping down, according to a statement from Aca, not giving more details on the circumstances of this decision.

“I have been pleased to work over the past three years as vice-president and president of Aca. Contributing to the unity of the association and the defence of our sector, in a demanding financial, health and regulatory context, will always remain a priority for me (...),” said Gibot.

At the board meeting held on 16 June, , CEO of the Foyer Group, was elected, or rather re-elected, president. Lauer has already held the position of president of Aca on several occasions: between 2008 and 2010, then between 2014 and 2016 and more recently from May 2020 to March 2022.

At the last board meeting, , CEO of AXA Assurances Luxembourg, and Nicolas Limbourg, CEO of Vitis Life, were appointed vice-presidents of Aca.
