The board of directors of Luxinnovation has voted unanimously to appoint Christian Tock as board chair of the national innovation agency.

The board of directors on Thursday 27 February announced that it had voted unanimously to appoint Christian Tock as board chair of Luxinnovation. Currently deputy director general industry, new technologies and research at the ministry of the economy, he will take up his post on 1 March 2025, succeeding . Grotz, who was appointed to the post in 2018, replacing . Baillie, in turn, will take up the on the same date.

Tock, aged 45, has a wealth of experience at the economy ministry, which he joined in 2012 as an independent consultant before joining the new technologies department. He is also chairman of the board of Neobuild GIE and Terra Matters. Tock is no stranger to Luxinnovation, having joined the agency as an R&D consultant in 2010 and taking up the role of manager of the Ecoinnovation Cluster in 2011.

Luxinnovation is the national agency responsible for promoting innovation in Luxembourg. It supports companies in their innovative projects and aims to attract international players to strengthen a sustainable and competitive economy.
